Reading
One very important activity you can do is read with your child every day, including doing their word cards. Remember when you do the word cards to use them as flashcards but also to try and build sentences with them. You can also sign onto Bug Club to read electronic books (User name is in your reading record (Password: read School Code: k3xx)
Phonics
Encourage your child to read and write simple words and sentences using their phonics each day. Here are a few useful websites.

Maths
Watch episodes of Number blocks from Season 1 and 2 here and talk to your child about the addition and subtraction within them. Practice taking away using objects by counting backwards. Here are a few useful websites.

Understanding the world
Point out the signs of Spring we are beginning to see and compare them to each other. What buds and blossom can you see? How are they the same or different?
Expressive Arts and Design
Let your children draw pictures and make models, seeing if they can find ways to improve their deisgn. Sing lots of songs and make up dances to them. See if you can practise skipping in time to music. There are also lots of recipes online for making cakes, biscuits and even homemade playdough!
